Kays...a Unique experience.
Kay's serves up casual food with a summer camp atmosphere. They are best known for great pizza. I love their crust & know others that think it's the sauce that makes it special. Either way, everyone enjoys their pizza. Other dishes are just ok~nothing special, although I do enjoy their antipasta. Be aware that it is a busy place & if you try to get in during a peak time you will have to wait.
Kay's is the polar opposite of corporate America. The ceiling & floor sags. the dining room is pretty crowded. If you are looking for a formal experience, or everything needs to gleaming & new, stay away. If you want to feel relaxed & like you are visiting a simplier time, you will enjoy Kay's. My only complaint about Kay's is that the service is inconsistent. Sometimes the waitresses are on top of their game & at other times, they seem to be moving in slow motion. In a weird way, this is actually part of the Kay's charm....it's an adventure. There aren't many places like this around any more...and that is too bad.
