Ask for a simple color job and you get "your stylist" working on you, plus a co-worker, plus a "junior" stylist in training who may or may not have completed beauty school. And to warn you, the prices on the internet are not what they charge you when you actually go there. They will charge you hundreds more for color compared to what the internet lists. I have never been to a place like this in my life and I used to get my hair styled in LA. It's either the stylists doing whatever she wants or the salon itself ripping you off. A very unsatisfactory salon, and I would go so far as to call them thieves, especially to the younger crowd whom they feel they can take advantage of. Going to the front desk to pay- forget about it- they will keep chatting with one another then after maybe 5-7 minutes they'll acknowledge you and tell you how outrageous your total is. If you question what services you're paying for they will simply say "have you been here before" then argue with you over your total. Ugh, terrible salon overall. Avoid a headache
WE LOVE ANIAS!!!!. Where to begin....My BFF and I have been to what feels like every salon in the area... "SERIOUSLY"....we just couldnt find the right feel.....We walked into ANIAS on impulse on a saturday.....WOW....best decision ever!!!! Love the VIBE! Perfect mix of asthetic, personality, and atmosphere! They are definitely on the "cutting edge"! We actually enjoyed being at the salon!!! Color and highlights with Patrizia and Kristina "D" no brainer.... Then nails with Danielle and Bridgett to finish off!!! We even got checked out by "ANIA", herself who was soooo friendly, genuine and "DOWN TO EARTH"!!! Cant wait for the next GIRLS day!!!
Love it!. I love this place. I've had my hair highlighted and cut/styled twice and both times absolutely loved it. Showed me how to do a style that worked for me, since I don't like to do a lot with my hair. Took the time to make sure everything was to my liking. Have even recommended them to friends and family. Will definitely go back!
1st Time to Ania Hair Studio - Debi is Terrific!. I have been complaining about my dry frizzy hair forever. My son gave me a gift card to Ania's to try the Oiudad line of products. My stylist, Debi, took her time and did a wonderful job treating, styling and explaining the process to me. It has been a long time since I felt good about my hair. If you have curly hair you need the right products. But without the knowledge on how to use the products and a good cut you will just be throwing money out the window. I highly recommend taking the time and learn from Debi . She is certified in Ouidad products and knows her craft ! Thank you Debi for a great hair day and I know many more will follow.
Ania Hair Studio & Salon gave me HERPES!. I went to Ania Hair Studio & Spa on Aug 21, 2010 to have my makeup done for a friend's wedding. The makeup girl did not spray the lipstick or lipgloss she used on me with alcohol prior to application, but I assumed it didn't matter since she used an applicator. I have never had a blister or herpes before in my life. I didn't share drinks or kiss anyone other than my herpes free husband that weekend. I was concerned when my upper lip started to hurt Monday morning at work. I went to the bathroom, looked in the mirror and was shocked to see three tiny blisters on my top lip. Gestation period for herpes is 2-12 days. If you have gotten herpes within this time span after going to Ania, I suggest putting a tip into the Better Business Bureau. Shame on Ania for giving me herpes! Ania Hair Studio & Spa: Makeup for a day, HERPES for a lifetime.
This is not accurate and is curently being disputed through the Better Business Bureau.

I must tell all you ladies out there. I had the best facial of my life with Dawn at Ania's. There have been many facials, but never one such as this one. Felt like a new woman. Dawn is the consummate professional,
and marvelous at what she does. I wll be going back ASAP.
The total experience was extremely relaxing and the
results were beyond my expectations

Ive been going there for years....
I've been going to Ania's Salon for years and overall I have nothing bad to say about the place... but I'm a realist. Of course by that I just mean I don't have unrealistic expectations. Have there been mix-ups with appointments, yeah, but things happen. As much as we all wish to have the perfect experience when we go somewhere, it can possibly be consistently perfect. Its a noble idea but its not reality.
Ive read some of the negative reviews here and I must say I feel strongly enough to write my own, though its not something I usually do.
I must say,as an adult I understand how a business works, especially one that deals with the public and one that has many different personalities catering to that public. People aren't machines, and they cant make miracles happen. In response to the woman who had a picture that didn't match her hairs final outcome. Forgive my ignorance but being a hairdresser myself who CHOSSES to go to Ania's for their hair care...some times its hard to understand that your hair just wont look like a person in print. Sometimes hairdressers can do it, but sometimes no matter how hard we try and no matter how good the communication is, its just not gonna happen! As I said its not an infallible science, its hair dressing. No ones perfect.
That said, while I do feel bad her hair didn't turn out as she wished, I have met most all the stylists at Ania's over the years and I don't think anyone I have been to would ignore a paying clients wishes. They all seem quite eager to please, and maybe that's just my impression but I feel I am pretty picky.
As for the wedding reviewer...that is a shame, no bride should have to cry on her wedding day. I feel for her. I do have to ask ...she cried because she was reprimanded because she was late??? Really? Wedding days are indeed hectic, but if you were late..YOU were late. That's not cool either! Those people who took care of your hair on your wedding day ARE people, just like you. Again they're not machines. If you're late you put them in a very difficult predicament. Think about it.... They have a schedule, (that's why you booked an appointment rather than just show up). You must understand that girl had to no only make you happy but had to complete a style that would be up to par...but in LESS time than was allotted. You made her do that under pressure of pissing off all the rest of her clients who came after you. That wouldn't put me in a rosy mood, Id hate that. I know your wedding day should be amazing and I wish it was for you...but you have to know that arriving on time is a good way of assuring the day goes as planned. I don't know any hairdresser who could perform in that situation up to par, I'm sorry.
I don't know everything, certainly I don't claim to, but I do know many of the girls at Ania's as well as Ania herself. And I assure you, they try to do right, it may not always turn out that way but as I said before that's life. Consider the reality before you try to damage someone's lively hood with a pointingly bad review. Talk to Ania if you have an issue, she's sweet as hell.
All of this may be just my opinion, but believe in it. So if you're on the fence about this salon, don't let those negative opinions stop you from. I like it there, and I'm pretty picky!
All I have to say is positive!. I went there last week to get waxed for the first time. I got full legs and underarms. Jessica was lovely. She is very professional, even when I am so nervous to have someone else see me so hairy! It took about an hour and a half, and it was very relaxing. She is so easy to talk to, that you don't even notice what is going on. She has 7 years of experience in waxing, and it showed! I'm going back next week for a Brazilian with her. It feels so nice to pamper myself and be smooth for weeks! Everyone there was so polite. Can't wait to go back!
U LIKE YOUR HAIR? DONT GO THERE!.
The salon was NOT clean, nor very professional. Not only was I not impressed by the atmosphere but the service was poor as well. The female that highlighted my hair was far from being professional.
She didn't listen what i want just did whatever she felt like. On the end wow instead $85 i paid $160!!!!!!!!!!! FOR WHAT????????
Do not go there!!!!!. I went to this hair studio and before I sat down showed the stylist a picture of how my hair used to be. They said no problem and assured me that they could do it. During the entire 2 hours they were working on my hair I continued to ask if it was going to be colored and cut they way I asked and again they assured me it would be. When they were done the color of my was not even close to what I asked. I asked for it to be straight and they styled it in waves. Then when I got to the counter to pay the priced was $100 dollars more than quoted on their website. I used to get my hair done in NYC and it was never that expensive and it was actually done the way I wanted. Waste of money and a waste of time. If you have your own opinion on how you want your hair to look, dont go there.
