Do not use this service. My friends dog was just KILLED by one of their drivers not more then an hour or so ago cause he was SPEEDING!! He was DOING 50 where it is plainly posted 20 MPH up the hill on Garden st where he could not tell what was up ahead of him at the top!!!!! And just a few minutes ago ANOTHER one was going the other way DOING 40 and almost hit ME!!!! Dangerous drivers with no common sense what so EVER!!! These guys are ALWAYS going up an down at tremendous speeds that is just way to dangerous in that area. WHAT IF IT WAS A KID THAT CAME OUT??!! WHAT THEN??!! Avoid this service PERIOD!!!

They couldn't take me where I wanted to go but the dispatcher was very nice and helpful in finding me a way to get to my destination. I hope I get the opportunity to use them in the future.

SCUM CITY!. These guys are big time scum. Friday night my boyfriend and I catch a ride from McGeary's to uptown, bf loses his Iphone in the cab, Duffy's angry dispatcher tells us to call back after 6am and hangs up. Naturally, I call back multiple times to try to get some answers and (naturally) get hung up on again.

So, next morning happens and we make the call after 6am. First they tell us they can't get in touch with their driver and to call back after 6pm. Bf calls back and is told they (the brilliant guys at Duffy's) don't understand the description of the cab driver and they can't help us.

Instead of just admitting the phone is lost or stolen or sold for money on the black market, they refuse to take our calls and help. And rest assured the Albany PD won't help either. They've refused to help as much as Duffy's.

Duffy's gets a big-fat zero rating and a big 'thank you' for inspiring me to write my first nasty review of a business on this site.

Best Taxi Service in Town. The service was terrific. I asked to be picked up and they gave me an approximated time and of course they were there exactly when I needed them. The taxi drivers are also very nice and they can hold a conversation which is very important. This taxi company is the only company I am going to use from now on.

Left my daughter stranded at 1:00 in the morning. My daughter was at Wal-mart when the store closed. She missed the last bus back to UAlbany. She called for a cab and they told her 15-20 mins. She waited and a car never showed. She called back, and was told the car will be there again no car ever showed. I called the dispatcher and told him she was waiting, he was very nasty and said the car will be there, or maybe she just didnt see it... really!! My daughter called me in a panic as she was waiting for an hour and 2 men were trying to talk to her and get her phone number and she was afraid. I called the dispatcher back and this time he told me "she never called and they didn't have any cars going out that way" and hung up on me again. So I guess you can't rely on them as the left a 20 year old young woman at 1:00 in the morning fend for herself.

I wish i didn't live so far away or I would have gotten her myself. What a very nasty non-caring company.

NASTY dispatcher...call someone else!. I called on Thursday afternoon to set up a pick up for the next day -Friday - at 5:30pm. Dispatcher said that they wouldn't do scheduled pickups at that time of day. I started to ask what time scheduled pickups were available, but before I could finish my question, the jerk hung up. Stupidly thinking it was an unintentional disconnect, I called back. I stated that I was disconnected and asked my question...I was told that "we don't do scheduled pickups". Since I had recently scheduled a pick up with them (that time I spoke with a very helpful dispatcher who sent a very nice driver) I was surprised and inquired "Since when?" Charming responded "Since now!" and hung up on me again. That time I got the hint...they don't want my business. I called Capitalland and the nice guy there set up the pick up. From now on Capitalland gets my business.

The Worst Taxi Place. This taxi servies is terrible. I called to request the information on there insurance company because one of their drivers crashed into my car. The dispatcher that answer argued with me saying that he cannot give it to me and put me with the supervisor. Then the supervisor had the worst attitude ever. When I asked her why she said I don't know what you are talking about "attitude". Seriously,I'm not stupid. And then they still did not give me any information. They hung up on me after. Even the taxi driver that hit me was a lot nicer than the people at the station.

Terrible Service. Called 24 hours in advance to get to the Albany-Rensselaer train station for an 8:05AM train the next morning. Asked them to be there at 7AM, giving roughly an hour for what is normally a 20 minute trip.

I needed to catch a train down to NYC for an interview with Morgan Stanley in Sales & Trading, which quite possibly was the biggest interview of my life to date.

At 7AM, nobody was there. Since it was snowing, I figured no big deal. I called the taxi operator and he told me it would be another 10-15 minutes. Fine. After another 10-15 minutes, I called again wondering if the cab would ever show. THE OPERATOR NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO PICK UP. Needless to say, by the time I was able to get a friend to drive me, I missed the train by three minutes and had to call in to the recruiter to let her know I would be late.

My experience with Duffy's Taxi was a complete nightmare and I would strongly advise seeking out alternative taxi services elsewhere. Honestly, flat out telling me cabs would not be running due to the inclement weather at 7:00AM when the cab was due would have been much more helpful to me than leading me on...

The best cab service in the capital district. I have taken this taxi company for years and wouldn't take anyone else. I am saddened that people feel the need to say negative things about companies just because something didn't go their way on one ride. Go Duffy's...YOU are the BEST!!

False Advertising, Rude Dispatcher claiming to be supervisor.. They falsely advertises Colonie pickups on card with Latham, Colonie-Guilderland, and Albany phone numbers. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, the extremely rude dispatcher claimed to be the night supervisor. The only reason they claim this is because they don't want to get in trouble. Unless the guy was the owner, there is always someone above you. Their cabs often do 50 mph in 30 mph, run red lights and violate right-of-way rules. My suggestion is to either use Yellowcab or Capitaland.
