Today I was in the mood to enjoy a nice seafood lunch on my day off. For almost two years I've driven past the Ocean Blue Fish Fry and Seafood and have had intentions of trying their food. I've even had someone recommend the food. From the outside the Ocean Blue Fish Fry looked like a family style restaurant, and it was decorated as such inside. As I walked threw the door I looked for a hostess stand but instead found a sign that read "Order Here." I read the chalk board and found prices that were comparable to Red Lobster. I was a bit disappointed there were no oysters on the half shell but there was overall a great selection of entrees to choose from. I ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and a single lobster tail with a baked potato. My bill was just over $20. I was surprised that the shrimp cocktail was served on a small paper plate. The shrimps were normal sized-nothing to cry home about. The worse part of my lunch was about to happen. My lobster and potato came out from the kitchen, and as the woman put it in front of me I couldn't bit my tongue and blurted out "That's it!." She asked if it was ok but I said to myself I couldn't believe I paid $20 for a skinny lobster tail. How stupid I felt, I was just ripped off. I could have went to Walmart's frozen food section and bought 5 lobster tails, a shrimp ring and a microwavable potato for the price I just paid. Or I could have just went to Red Lobster and for $4 more bought the Ultimate Feast and received a bigger lobster tail. I think I could have bought better lobster from a diner. How disappointing. Next time I am in the mood for seafood, I'll drive to Albany and go to Red Lobster or the Real Seafood Company-which I have yet to try. Don't waste your money at Ocean Blue unless you would like to look at cute home decorations along the walls.
