We purchased our cat from Mike in August and he is the love of our lives!!!
First let me say we first met Mike at a cat show in Matamoras PA. A few weeks after our beloved cat Lucky passed away. He were looking to get answers to why our new cat didn't get along with a cat we adopted at an animal shelter. Mike was very interested in answering our questions without even thinking he was going to sell us a cat. As he was talking I could not help but look over his shoulders at this male cat who was absoloutley beautiful. I inquired about the breed again Mike answered all our questions. We talked about interest in buying a cat and talked about visiting his Cattery as we were not going to impulse buy. We went home did some research and scheduled a day to visit the Cattery and "possibly" choose a kitten. Well I was ABSOLOUTLY amazed at how beautiful the Cattery was and how immaculate the kennels were. I could tell the cats loved him as soon as he rounded the corner they all came to him. You could tell they loved him!!! We chose a kitten Apollo. He is awesome!!! Mike is supportive and will answer any questions we have anytime now tomorrow and for our cats life. He and his family are truly passionate cat lovers my kind of people!!
Can't say enough great things about this cattery!!! Just purchased 2 absolutely magnificent Siamese kittens in May from Mike & Svetlana. From the 1st time we came to see them and pick out our beautiful babies, we were highly impressed w/the cattery in-itself. Mike was extremely friendly and easy going. The cattery was clean and very impressive. Loved the whole design of the built in wood wall cages for the mommies w/their litters and the beautiful cat rooms for the Bengals and Siamese. Mike had no problem letting us hold/handle all of the kittens to decide which ones we wanted and the Siamese mommies themselves were purring/very friendly and also had no problem w/us holding any and all of their young. You could definately tell that these animals were raised w/love and well taken care of. I wanted to take them all, but of couse that wouldn't have been pratical... We got a boy (Simon) & girl (Sage) who are growing in leaps & bounds and are the prince and princess of the house, soon to be the king and queen when they grow up. They are now 4months old and just the most lovable and affectionate siamese kittens with the most adorable personalities. We love them sooo much!
Highly recommend this cattery for anyone looking for the most beautiful Applehead Siamese and or beautiful Bengals.
Beautiful Bengals Cats, Awesome People! – Our family has wanted a new cat for several years. We have taken our time and searched extensively for just the right kitten. Last fall our search ended when we met Mike and his lovely family.
Mike is a total professional, experienced and knowledgeable, he was a fountain of helpful information and has been kind and consistently supportive to us.
We love our kitten! Not only is he magnificently beautiful, but has the most loving and gentle temperament. His personality is adorable.
Our friends and extended family have likewise fallen in love with this gentle spirited, intelligent creature, so much so that we decide to get a second kitten several weeks ago for my daughter and her boyfriend.
Mikes' cattery is amazing! He has created a feline paradise attached to his family home complete with a river view. The facility is immaculate and his cats are healthy, gorgeous and extremely friendly due to the loving care and attention they receive not only from Mike, but from his whole gentle family.
If you are interested in adopting an extraordinary kitten I wholeheartedly recommend Helderberg Exotic Cats, but don't just take my word for it...go and see for yourself...you will not be sorry!
Awsome Siamese Cat Breeders – My Family and I had raised 2 siamese cats for about 17 years. Our family had such a great experience with our
Siamese cats that after about 1 year of their passing we wanted to adopt 2 more. I looked in newspapers, local stores and the internet but never finding any that were of intrest to us. When I went to the Cat Show @ the White Plains, NY County Center I spoke to all the breeders and just was not thrilled with any of them until I met Mike and his lovely wife. They had the most beautiful siamese and bengal kittens for sale. At that time, I could not adopt because we were doing some major construction in our home and just did not want the kittens to have a problem. I kept in touch with Mike with many phones calls and always had a good feeling in dealing with him and his family. When I was ready to adopt he let me know that one of his siamese females was pregnant and would be ready
in late April to early May of 2012. He also mentioned he had a 5 month old male from the last litter if I wanted to adopt 1 right away. We decided to take the male and when the other litter would be ready we would take 1 more. We named him Quincy. My family and I are so thrilled with him. He is not only a very handsome siamese but so gentle and loving. One of his favorite things is that he likes to be held like a baby. He loves to play with my daughter and his toys. We cannot wait for the 2nd kitten. We feel blessed that we met Mike and his family. He made sure we were a good family before he agreed to let us have Quincy so that in itself shows me he truly cares about his cats. We will keep in touch with him and send him photos from time to time.
Our family highly reccomends Mike and his cattery.
You will not be dissapointed if you want loving, gentle
and beautiful siamese kittens. I am sure his bengals are just as loving.
Some strange reviews here- makes one wonder – I have purchased severeal cats from Mike and Svetlana. My mother has purchased there and I have sent other people to that cattery. My vet now humorously refers to our oldest one as "geriatric", and the younger one (only five years) still bounces off the walls like a kitten. Both are sweethearts. Mom is completely in love with hers.
Let me start by saying that most catteries fail inspections the first time around and then correct the problems. Unfortunately, when these issues are corrected, the reports are not published, since they are no longer interesting to anyone. Secondly, Donald Trump filed for bankrupcy. Does that mean he cannot care for his family or take care of his business? And to what "report on you" do you refer? Sounds like we have a competitor here who wants to ruin someone's business so they can get more customers.
Get a life, or work on getting your own place up to snuff!
Dishonest – You need to start being honest with your buyers while running your commercial cattery business. Buyers can read the actual inspection reports at CACB. website Just google this at the ca-catbreeders search under the NY locations There they will see you are not telling the truth you tell lies to decieve buyers for their money. Buyers have the right to know if you have FAILED NYS Inspections. Get out of the live animal business and go back to mowing lawns for your money. A commercial cattery business is not for the uneducated my friend. The report on you says you are in bankruptcy again. You cannot care for 80 cats without money. Read what your buyers say about you. You are FAILING to care for your animals. Again I suggest you go back to cutting lawns where you can cause no harm. I pray this helps you to end your deceptive activities.

Magnificent Cats, Excellent Facility, Caring People – We have two kittens from Helderberg Exotic Cats. Both are beautiful, charming, and wonderful cats. In addition, we have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Mike Puzulis who is committed to raising beautiful Bengal cats with great care and kindness.
Last fall, we met Mike at a local cat show and fell in love with his cats. We were captivated by Maya and took her home. As others have mentioned, Mike’s commitment to the kitten did not end with the sale. He was very much engaged and wanted to see pictures and hear news of how she was getting on. We liked Maya so much, that we contacted Mike for another kitten this Spring.
We drove out to East Berne to pick up Willow and visit Mike’s home. The way Mike raises his cats is exemplary. The indoor cages and outdoor runs are cleaned, each day. It is well lit; heated; the feeding is well thought out; and Mike spends a considerable amount of time interacting with all the cats. Nothing is missed. The conditions in which the cats are raised are reflected in the cats themselves: they are interactive and friendly; their coats are exquisite to touch; the males are big and strong. All this points to how Mike conducts his business.
Willow too is a wonderful cat: very smart and loves to interact with her people. Mike continues to be cordial, calling on occasion to see how we are all doing.
For one health issue, Mike talked with our Vet and he was very impressed with Mike’s knowledge and helpfulness.
We can highly recommend Helderberg Exotic Cats.
It is worth noting that one person’s clear intent is to be destructive and hurtful in these postings. They aren’t worth the attention.
sick from neglect – It was my bad for impulse buying at a cat show without researching Helderberg Exotic Sick Cats. Highlights direct from the State Inspection Health Reports over the years would have been enough: a suspended an inspection so an injured cat could be brought immediately for treatment/pedigree and consumer rights violations/sick cats not given any isolation area whatsoever/unsatisfactory inspection/deficiencies in the very very very bare minimum housing required for cats/expired operating license/facility run down and needs paint/multiple consumer rights violated again/pedigree violations again/needed to conduct a special inspection because of complaint/caught red handed housing mother and her kittens in the new sick/isolation contagious area and made to move them out ‘immediately’/total of 25 cats not legally vaccinated/no vet records on premises/owner openly admitted to never vetting the sick cats/even more pedigree violations again/operating illegally with out a license/they counted 85 cats- 85 cats???/one report said “many complaints throughout year”/more consumer rights violations/violation in how they were caring for their sick/injured cats/medically treating sick cats sold to customers/said animals were crying in a shed?/violations in record keeping of animals/ found 10 more cats never brought to vet for treatment/unsanitary kennels exuded a horrible urine smell/pet dealer caught altering their own medical records/not only that they issued fraudulent health records to consumer/caught breeding a Siamese with chronic skin condition – no medical treatment was given to her for sores all over her belly while she was forced to nurse kittens/complaints filed with the attorney general/someone suing in small claims court/unlicensed people medically treating animals again/several more detailed consumer complaints sent to the inspectors so far to include an extremely graphic complaint of abuse /The owners can make up all the good reviews they want about themselves and try tricking people into believing they are reputable, but the public records don’t lie.
Beautiful Bengals! – I met Mike at the TICA cat show in Providence, and despite my reluctance to buy at a show (not prepared for a kitten at home and no prior knowledge of the breeder), I fell in love with one of the two kittens he had for sale.
Mike was very considerate about the haste of the purchase, he ket me make a downpayment and mal a check for the rest. He was very informative about the breed and, because I was with my teenager, gave us a lot of information about the care and handling of a kitten.
I took Riley A. Cat to the vet when I got home and the vet was impressed by the quality of the paperwork and vaccine information I got from Mike. She was also impressed that Mike had covered all the health bases and Riley was in excellent condition.
Mike prepared me for Riley's dietary and emotional needs. He is obviously a very caring cat person as well as a committed breeder. I have been in contact with Mike because he asked me to call and let him know how Riley was doing, and because I forgot, he called me! He also asked for photos to keep up with Riley's development. A great guy, a great breeder and a wonderful and loving cat. Thanks, Mike!
