Pig Pit = AMAZING!. Margo, I'm going to have to disagree with you...

I have driven by this place multiple times and never stopped by to try it....I had heard from a few co-workers of mine that this bbq was worth the trip, so I tried it last week for the first time (wont be my last!). The staff was beyond friendly, the woman up front even offered a small cup of pulled pork for me to try without me even asking! The pulled pork melted in my mouth...my wife got that as a sandwich, but i wanted to try the beef brisket because I've heard great things about it. Not only was the sandwich HUGE, but it was the perfect combination of sweetness, smokey flavor and not to forget, the BEEF! I found it to be great texture and taste all combined. I will definitely be back, and I'm going to spread the word that Pig Pit is by far the best bbq i've had in the area. GO PIG PIT!!!!!!!!

The Pig Pit will die. I have been a big fan of Tex's BBQ for many years, but I recently stopped by on a Saturday nite and will NEVER return. My order of fried green beans was great but the accompanying sauce was extremely inadequate forcing me to wade through a crowd of friends of the people who "worked" there in between texting their friends, to get another container of sauce which was different from the one I enjoyed previously. The beef in the tortilla was cold, requiring another trip to the counter to see if it could be warmed up. It came back, not wrapped like a beef in a blanket but like some pieces of meat thrown into a barely folded tortilla. Fully 20% of which was gristle requiring me to pull it out of mouth (gross). When asked how everything was, I told the server that my meat was full of gristle and got an argument from her saying that you can't cook meat without a lot of fat. When I left, the server started to complain about me before I got out of the door. Dave, you'd better start paying attention to your help and the food that is served or the Dinosaur will eat you for lunch.
