Owned by a real jerk.. I dont know, call me crazy, but when I go to a store that sells ice cream cakes I have it in my head that the owner isnt going to go out of his way to be an impatient jerk. That would be like having a sex offender driving your local ice-cream truck - it just doesnt make sense. When I asked this guy if he could make a cookie-puss ice cream cake he looked me in the eyes and said "you're kidding me, right?" I'm sorry, but I like cookie-puss. I also like his Irish cousin, Cookie o' puss, but that's besides the point. Cookie-puss is a Carvel tradition, if you dont have the artistic talent to slap some cookies and an icecream cone nose on a cake, well then, I hate to infuse logic into the situation, but I think you're in the wrong business. Turns out the owner is a former corrections officer - big surprise. In sum: if you want to be treated like an inmate in D Block then by all means, put on your orange jumpsuit and hurry on down. Just dont ask about cookie-puss, apparently he is in solitary confinement. Frankly, I wouldnt have even posted this if I hadnt seen Icidesings' post. Almost forgot, he called my friend's wife a jerk in front of their kids when she rejected a cake he had mispriced. I'd like to give him a cookie-puss.

rude to cutomers. I took my daughter to a birthday party recently. The cake was from carvel. She loved it! She doesn't usually eat cake, but this was different. Her birthday is this weekend, so all week long I have been trying to order a carvel cake. No one answered the phone. Finally I reach someone today (Friday). The man was extremely rude. When he spoke he didn't say carvel he yelled it. I explained my situation & asked if I could order a cake for Sunday. He told me it was impossible & quickly hung up. I called back. He acknowledged what he had done, told me he didn’t have time to argue, & quickly hung up again. He did not give me a chance to speak. He did not say goodbye. He spoke to me as if we were long time enemies. I called customer service for carvel & complained. The lady was very nice. They're sending me a coupon. Unfortunately this man owns the carvel store. Do not give him any business. This jerk does not deserve it!!!!!
