This restaurant serves the best Chinese food I've tasted in 47 years. The chef is an award winner, check out the framed newspaper story on the wall, naming him best in the capital district. Seriously, he rivals Chef Gordon Ramsey of Hell's Kitchen. Hell no, he's better. Paradoxically, this is an unassuming, smallish restaurant, part of a strip mall across the road from Hudson Valley Community College. And the prices are startlingly economical. They offer a limited selection, of superlative taste. China Wok is is a hidden gem, and well worth your discovery.

• Pros: Award-Winning Chef. Need I say more?
• Cons: I don't care about ambience when I'm blessed with the world-class taste of these select dishes.
