We went here on the recommendation of a friend. I have to say it's the BEST indian food I've had in the capitol district. The best...! We've been there for dinner twice now and are getting ready to try out the lunch buffet as I type.

• Cons: the interior is nothing special. You don't feel like you're in a nice establishment. They should renovate the interior... paint it allnew window treatmentsnew tables & chairs and so forth. That would make it really nice.

shalimar is an okay restaurant. it's not as good as some of the other place that i've gone to. The food is very bland and has no real flavor. This is not real indian food. I should know. I'm indian. While the prices are very affordable, i'd rather spend a little more and get quality food.

Shalimar's is a special treat!

My husband and I have been loyal customers of the Shalimar restaurants (there's one in Troy too!) since before our children were born! The food is fabulous and the price is great! Even our kids love "Shalimar's" for dinner! Both owners are so friendly and have always been eager to please their customers! They even delivered to us when our son was sick in the hospital! If you've never had Indian food but would love to try it, I would definitely recommend Shalimar's! You won't regret it.
