he has all the state of the art stuff. he has all the state of the art stuff, and has had multiple articles on this in local papers. he has computers and monitors etc and is very informational - do your research, and I am sure you will come back to him !!! He is a great kids dentist !

Very good with kids. Very good with kids - effecient - even disabled ..: Dr Kotlow is great - his office is conviently at styvantsant plaza - the kids go downstairs and do not need to have the parent present during treatment - this sounds scary for parent, but is actually nice because your child deals better if you are not there to turn to. He has seen not only my 2 kids but also 2 that my mother works with (that both have autism/aspergers) and he is great with them all . I heard from my mom how he did great with the disabled kids so I chose to take my kids there and I am very happy - kevin has a little bit of a behavior thing, but he does great there and them with him. Kaitlyn my 1 yr old baby was found to have a "gap" coming in before her baby teeth were even in. she had 4 teeth, but not her 2 front teeth - they saw this and did lazer surgery to correct problem before it occured - he has all the state of the art stuff, and has had multiple articles on this in local papers. he has computers and monitors etc and is very informational - do your research, and I am sure you will come back to him !!! He is a great kids dentist !

phenomenal. Dr. Kotlow is phenomenal. He corrected both of my boys' tongue-ties and allowed for us to continue nursing successfully!

Dr. Kotlow is an excellent dentist.. Dr. Kotlow is an excellent dentist. He runs his office a certain way which works well with my family. The children have to be seen in the AM (I believe up to 7)and they go downstairs to their appointment without their parents. Up to age 3 is seen in a different room with a parent. I know a lot of parents object to this but I think it works great. My children behave much better for them if I am not there. The waiting room is filled with video games, fish and a train that travels around the room. Downstairs they have TVs and I really don't know what else since i'm not allowed down there :-). He is always up on technology and is very firm with his recommendations. Dr. Kotlow has worked well with my family. He also practices preventative care when it comes to braces.

Back in the day. Dr. Kotlow is a pediatric dentist who was my dentist back in the 1970s and 1980s. I haven't been here in over 20 years, but I can remember the upstairs check in and waiting area having a full size Pac Man arcade game (no quarters required), which was sooo cool. The "dungeon below," oops I mean the "downstairs area" has the dental chairs. Parents are not allowed to go downstairs with their child, so it was a scary moment as a tyke going downstairs alone. As a very young child, I soooo really dreaded going here for the teeth removal. Dr. Kotlow would put a mask of laughing gas over my face and put headphones over my ears and blast some Sesame Street while using high screechy noisy tools and yanking my teeth out. That was my short-lived "Nightmare On Sesame Street" starring the Cookie Monster with Bert & Ernie. "C is for Cookie......Eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh!" I closed my eyes trying not to stare into the bright RITTER light. That was way back in the day. I had the "tooth fairy" to look forward to! Yay! The teeth cleanings here were very thorough and efficient, which included fluoride treatment to help prevent tooth decay in young teeth. Dr. Kotlow used his bare hands way back (bite down), probably uses gloves today. I had no cavities under Dr. Kotlow's care. After each dentist visit, I was REWARDED by getting to pick out a small PRIZE from the large toy chest. SCORE!! That definitely was the best part of going to see Kotlow that I always looked forward to!! I still have several cool finger puppets and puzzles from those visits. After over 30 years, I believe Dr. Kotlow is still practicing in the same location, located in the house with light gray siding across from Stuyvesant Plaza near Western Avenue. The siding used to be white back in the day. The technology here has improved drastically since the 1970s.

Dr. Kotlow is fantastic. Dr. Kotlow is fantastic. We flew from MN to have him treat my daughters posterior tongue tie and tight lip frenum, also.

Highly recommended.. Very much appreciate the promptness. Never have to wait in waiting room child taken right in. Like the up to date dentistry - laser etc. Very little pain or discomfort for child. Highly recommended.
