amazing. There dresses are beautiful i found my wedding dress after trying on 3 i was so in love i bought it that night. The one thing they could work on is customer service and having more employees so they dont have one person running around to 3 girls at one time. but other then that they are great.
The Wallmart of a Dress Boutique. Being a bride, MOH, and bridesmade many times, as well as a 7 yr proffissional wedding planner I have worked with/shopped EVERY bridal store in the Capital region. Davids although not the worst is FAR from the best. Shoppers must be patient and only care about price. If you are a bride, mother or member of the bridal party think of Walmart. Cheep prices, ok quality for the price, pretty dresses, tons of varity, mediocre service and long waits. To save money do alterations elsewhere, a private seamstress. Be ready to try dresses on with teenagers in prom mode. No privacy and your consulant who woks on $8 an hr + commission is working with 2-3 other people at the same time. Friendly staff yes. One on one no. Oh and they sell your contact info. As a bride to be, the second you walk in you MUST register. They selll your name, #, mailing address and email, and wedding date to other wedding professionals. You will receive unwanted emails, phone calls, and mail from these people advertising their service. Good if you want contacts and do not want to spend time in the phone book or online but for those of you who already have your venue and vendors its unwanted.
Wedding dress hunting ground for real-world brides on a budget. Princesses need not apply..
In Short
A chic, sleek boutique, it's not. But those willing to look carefully will likely find a big-time bargain. The staff is helpful and knows the merchandise but doesn't provide extensive one-on-one attention or advice. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. David's specializes in beaded satin A-lines and simple lace sheaths that just hit the $500 mark. Most labels are tasteful but of medium-quality: Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and the likes.
