DO NOT SIT AT THE BAR!!!! The restaurant was super busy so we decided to have dinner at the bar. While we were there I swatted at two fruit flies but just wrote it off. As we finishing out dinner I happened to look up at the canopy that is over the bar to see it was crawling with fruit flies and their dead buddies. Just then the bartender grabs a menu and the breeze that created caused a fly to drop only my salad plate. My god get a fly strip and a vacuum.

DECENT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD. I had the most enjoyable experience I've had yet at Olive Garden. Service was quick and the food was unbelievably delicious. Definitely would recommend the Olive Garden in Colonie. : o)
So disappointed.. I go to Olive Garden in Colonie usually once a month. I went about two weeks ago with my friend and her daughter. We were treated so poorly by our waitress. We sat at the table for 15 minutes before our waitress even came over. When she came over to greet us, she said "hold on, my other table is so thirsty I have to help them first" I was like WHAT, im thirsty! She left our table and went to the hostess who sat us who was standing behind us and whispered Loudly, WHY DID YOU SIT THEM IN MY SECTION! I was appalled. Finally about ten minutes later she came to get our drinks. She didn
Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant..
In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.
Always good when I come here. Have never had a bad meal, been to sseveral birthday parties here, always good service and good food.
Give it a try!. We always head to Olive Garden when we have family visiting or when we are visiting family in another state. I don't particularly like their red pasta sauce, but their other items, such as the bread sticks, salad, fettucini alfredo and chicken dishes are wonderful.
disgusting. I think it is absolutely crazy that this "restaurant" if that's what you want to call it, would even be considered for the "best of" list. It is the fakest Italian food I ever eaten and it tastes disgusting. You are better off getting frozen weight watchers and popping it in the microwave. That tastes better than anything you can order here.
Like a big dinner. I don't like the Olive Garden because the service is usually bad and I think there are many more italian restaurants in the Albany area that give you better quality for your money. The last time I was there, service was terrible and the excuse were given for why we were waiting so long for our dinner was ridiculous and the waitress should have been fired for what she said to us.
