New Maytags are crap!.
My wife & I purchased a new front loading Maytag washer & dryer. The main reason we got it from Cocco's was the fact that spoke so highly of their service department. 1 year later the washing machine broke on a Fri afternoon. Called the service department (they close at 4:00 and on weekends) and finally got thru on a monday. 1 week later thay came to service it (I had to take a 1/2day off since they schedules calls in the morning and afternoon) and in 30 min said they had to order a part. 6 business days to order the part, then almost another week before I could get in the schedule. Another 1/2 day off for me. They came out, had the part & guess what - It was the wrong part. Back to their office & 2 hours later back for the repair. That didn't work either. He then scheduled an appointment for 4:00 the next day to bring the correct part. Well, today is the next day. Just had a call from Steve in service. It's 3:30, he has 3 more calls to make in Schenectady & then has to go to Cohoes for one more call before coming to my house in Glenmont. (4:00???)
Well the wife & I have a 6:30 appointment tonight so I highly doubt it will get repaired. I'll update this later.
Terrible. Shown 1 thing and got another. TERRIBLE. Was looking for a refrigerator. Salesman said the one he was showing would be the same in the brand we ordered. Promised 9 a.m. delivery. Paid for the refrigerator and left happy. Got a call the next day they 'd be there between 1&5. Said we were told it would be 9 and was told they don't start delivering till 1. Lie #1. We rescheduled our time as we were told 10:30-11 when we went there to cancel. They got there 11:30. They took the old one away and brought in the new one. After they left I looked and noticed the one we got had a different model number. That noticed it didn't have the energy star we were supposed to be getting (lie2). Opened the freezer and there was no light as there was supposed to be (lie 3). Called and complained. Was told difference in model # was the production. Asked about the energy star was told it would cost another $100 and being you only save $5 a year it would take 20 years to get our savings back. Complained about no light and was told we'll bring back your old refrig. and you can pick out another. Told them the old one wasn't working right that's why we got a new one. Was told we could bring our food over there and use one of their refrig. till we got one. Wise ass. That's all they were being. Was told we could get a loaner. Means we have to redo everything 2 more times and use 2 more days to to be there for deliveries. Than we were told it was never said it was going to be a star rating (lie4). They would not adjust the price for what I feel was their "BAIT AND SWITCH". Than came the guy who said he was the owner. Told him we were writing this on the internet and in so many words was told not to. Never again with these people. I will go to anyone but them.
Just Like Family. I went to coccas looking for a decent stainless range. I purchased a frigidaire stainless model, my wife loved it. 2 Years later my range died on me, something about a clock. I was upset because it was right before Thanksgivings and my wife was panicked. They referred me to service who diagnosed the problem and were able to repair it 3 days after it broke. It went so well that when my junky fridge went i went back to my same salesmen. they made sure i bought a matching fridge so the stainless matched, i never even thought of it. Steve in their service department was so courteous i called the store owner. They know their stuff. I recommend them to anyone and everyone, if knew nothing of appliances and now they made me an expert. Thank you guys, and happy new year!
Best Prices, Best Service, Best Delivery Service. I am not sure about all of the negativity is about with these reviews? We just purchased A front load washer and dryer, french door refridgerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave hood and have no complaints at all. The prices will not be beat by anyone, even the big box stores. The warranty cannot be beaten ( 3yr parts & labor - 10 on major components ). FOR FREE! Everything was delivered correctly, efficiently, and I have to tell you the delivery crew was super carefull of both my home and appliances. The New and the old ones they removed from the basement and kitchen. We are very happy with the sales team at Cocca's and will probably never shop elsewhere. Oh, and by the way it only took 1 day to order another microwave hood to replaced the damaged unit, and they said they would even deliver that too. We chose to just pick it up ourselves since it is not a large item. Great Job guys!
Exceptionally Poor Experience. This place is terrible. Ordered all new appliances to refit my kitchen, hired a contractor to remove the old appliances for delivery. Get a call day before and am told stove isn't in (ordered 3 weeks ago). They offered upgrade, turned out to be larger than original purchased although they promised same size, had to modify cabinets to fit. Floor models came for dishwasher and fridge, scratch and dent, no hardware with them. Delivery promised between 10-12, came at 3pm, had to use a sick day. The WORST customer service I've ever had. Strongly recommend staying away from this place, you get much less than what you pay for.
Terrible service, fraud, liars!. Appliance dead on arrival. Coccas told me it wasn't their problem, call the manufacturer. Nice service! It will be a cold day in hell before I deal with them again!
BEST PRICES, BEST SERVICE, GREAT PEOPLE!. Normally i use these reviews to complain about poor service, BUT i had a WONDERFUL experience at Coccas. Let me describe what happened: I had purchased a front loading washer from Coccas about two and a half years ago and it ran well for that time. One morning the washer stopped working completely, lights were on but it would not do anything else. I called up Coccas who gave me to their service department. The nice woman there set me up for a service call next day. They determined it would be a part (i believe a circut board) and tub. Once the parts came in (about a week later) they came back and put the parts in. The unit would wash but not spin out. The man appologized and said it must be a bad board and needed to ge in another one. They expedited it for me and 3 days later the company came back. But weven with the new part the washer wouldnt work, and even with their best efforts they could not fix it. I called up Coccas, at this point i was very frustrated. I spoke to the sales team there and they passed it along to their manager for review. Because of the number of problems i had, they were able to get me a COMPLETELY NEW WASHER at NO CHARGE!!! I couldnt believe my ears or eyes. They delivered a new unit and took my problem machine away. Thank goodness i had their free 3 year warranty! I have to thank the entire staff for being so nice to me, and listening to my rants.
Cocca's Only Seems nice. We walked into Cocca's Appliance and were pleased to find friendly sales people who were not pushy at all and seemed generally interested in helping us. HOWEVER, after we put in a deposit for a washer and dryer, we realized we weren't sure if our new house had a gas or electric hookup. They told us that they weren't putting the order in until Monday anyway (this was a Saturday) so we could call them Monday morning and let them know which we'd like. In the meantime, we determined that the washer and dryer were going to be included in our house after all so we no longer needed the order from Cocca's. We called them first thing Monday morning, assuming it would be fine, as they had been so understanding before, and since they hadn't placed the order yet. They were extremely rude about the whole thing, and told us they had apparently ordered it on Saturday, even though we had told them not to. They charged us a $100 "restocking fee" that had never been mentioned to us, and even after numerous phone calls and going there to address them in person, they still did not budge, and in fact were furious and incredibly impossible to deal with. They took several weeks to get the rest of our deposit back, and we will never EVER deal with them ever again. They may be fine to deal with if everything goes according to plan, but Lord help you if for whatever reason, something goes wrong. The big guy who owns the place is impossible.
