Fabulous. Me & my family have been going to Hiros for 23 yrs now, I love the food!!! I don't think it is expensive at all for the food you get, we always use the Hibachi tables, and Maury is the best - although we have had all the cooks but we LOVE maury. The sauces they serve are absolutely delicious. We have brought many friends along with us at different times, and never have we had a bad experience. If you don't have time to sit and enjoy the food, atmosphere, family & friends - Don't go to Hiros........... Relax and enjoy, and soak up a fun time at HIRO'S...... Enough said....

Dont waste your time.. Wow 7pm reservation we didnt get seated until 10 of 8pm. Then we waited for ever for the cook. The menu states that for large partys a 18% tip will be added to the biil. Food was not good at all. We had a party of nine and the resturant ran out of beer. The overall cleanlieness was Horid. When leaveing we got chased outside and the staff said that we did not leave a tip but the menu said it would be added, amazing they made us wait for an hour for dinner and then dinner was nasty and we were not treated well. To top off a bad dinner expierance both my husband and I got so sick!!! All day and now we both are missing work.

Best Hibachi Table in Albany!. Don't believe the other reviews...Hiro's always has the freshest foods, delicious sauces, etc... We're always served promptly (although to be fair the Hibachi table does take around 2 hours total.) Totally worth it...yum... can't wait to go back!

Good place for good time. If you want to spend a hour to 2 1/2 with your family or a buisness meeting then boy is this the place for you. The grilling is good, their flammingon is the best i have ever had. I've gone to the best steak houses around the world and this has one of the best meats in the U.S. A couple negatives are that it is a bit pricey for a 4-6 person family. My bill was around 120$ which is harder to get in these economic times. Furthermore this is not a fast food restaurant. If you don't have more than an hour to eat then don't go here. For me though the 2 hours spent there allowed me to eat great food and meet up with some old friends. I would highley recomend the flammingon because of its rich taste, simple spices and its ability to melt in your mouth. Their sushi is also excelent. If you decide to go, (which i hope you do) have a good time and also recomend the chef named Mori. He was intertaining to my kids, to my old friends, and to most of all me. He is an excellent chef with brilliant storys and funny jokes.

Get it together!. Went to Hiro's about a week ago on Friday night. The food was excellent, the only complaint I had about that was that the tempura sauce wasn't very flavorful.

The real issues I had were with the atmosphere and the service.

The tables were very close together, we were practically sitting with the people at the tables on either side of us. Even if you are very thin, it is physically impossible for 2 people to fit into chairs that are opposite of each other at 2 different tables. We had to alternate seats with other diners that night.

The waitstaff was very courteous and helpful, but clearly overworked. As far as I could tell, there were only 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. It took a long time to get our appetizers, and then by the time our meals came, we were starving all over again. I asked our waitress if they were short staffed that night, but she said no, they just get a lot of customers. Our entire dining experience took over 2 hours.

In addition to that, the vent fans at the hibachi tables weren't working that night and we all came home smelling like cooking oil.

That was the first time I'd been to Hiro's and I don't think it's worth it to go back. Maybe other people will happen to have a better experience.

one of my favorite spots. Ever since my cousin took us here back in 95 I have loved it. The food is always good and I really enjoy the cooking table. The service has always been great for me. I have since introduced my nephew and two friends to this place and they also love it. It is now our New Years tradition to get a large group together for a cooking table and "dinner and a show". I highly recommend going here.

not bad for sushi, recommend habachi. Not a bad place for sushi and sashimi. not excellent but very edible. They have a live habachi cook if you want and you wouldnt believe how much food you get. Overall, a very respectable restaurant.

Fun but the Service????. This is a typical Habachi restaurant. Personally I love this style and it is loads of fun for big groups or just a few. The food is good but the staff is not very friendly or accomadating. I would definetly go next door to Sitar instead, Hiro's is good but not worth putting up with the staff.
