Unprofessional

Please beware, they smile and seem pleasant at first, but one problem and the atmosphere changes quickly. I drove out of there with my engine improperly reattached to the chasis of my car! Thankfully a friend noticed the situation and we took the car somewhere else to get it properly repaired.

I agree with the first reviewer who states that the owner/operator is unneccesarily rude and combative. The work is done on his terms, how and when he wants, and obviously not always done well!

Old School Family Business with Honesty and Great Workmanship

The Hackel family is extremely kind and knowledgeable. The Dad, who started the business many years ago is a very nice man. He gave his son the gift of all his knowledge and experiences all those years working on VW's. Young Bobby is very friendly and accomodating (came to work an hour early just to bring me to work) with a great sense of humor. He works with his cousin Mike, who is also very polite. Good People! Their rates are fair and reasonable and the work is done right. This was my first meeting with this business and I was pleased and felt secure with their diagnosis and workmanship.

A family business like theirs should be recommended and kept successful. When your in a bind, they make sure you have someplace to go for repairs.

THE best place to take your VW for repairs - and to buy one! I've been a customer for more than 15 years and Hackel's remains one of the top reasons I own a VW. Reliable, reasonable service and just nice people to deal with!

• Pros: Never feel like I'm being ripped off
• Cons: Drivers try to make u-turns in their lot
