Astonished!. I ate here a number of times and had no problem (usually take out) i decided to eat inside to see how the service was. low and behold as i was almost finished eating there it was......in my plate......a bug it had legs and all. I immediately called my waiter and notified him of the bug in my food. Honestly it was pretty small so he thought it was a broccoli floret. (ordered chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce). The bug was black and the broccoli floret was green. I mean really who were they trying to fool. Where Im from bugs aren't a delicacy. I told the waiter to bring me another plate to go and checked it before i left of course i didn't see any bugs. the female manger told me it was broccoli i told her im not stupid. On my way out she told me she was sorry. if i knew how to contact the dept of health i will definitely do that but other wise, i will never eat here again
lots on the menu but nothing too spectacular.
Service is quick - though wait staff don't appear very interested in their jobs; food is...not the greatest. Lots of variety so many pallets can be satisfied but the taste of the individual entrees taste...off, like whoever is cooking is throwing it all together without much effort at making sure it tastes very good.
It's ok, this restaurant. Sadly, it's not much better than other chinese/asian restaurants in Albany.
Not quite up to the hype, but still very good for the price.
I've heard so many people say amazing things about this place, and I must say I was a little disappointed when angels didn't serve me little slices of heaven on dishes made of clouds.
Seriously though, this place is hyped up a LOT. After going there a few times, I can sum it up quite simply (and it really is this simple):
Food is quite good (sushi as well)
Food is quite cheap
Service is bad
Ambiance is okay
Honestly, while this place is good, I'd spend the little extra $ and go to Hana.
Ughhh my god. I can't believe the service. No service. They are slow and the food was bad (they won't let me say what i really think) really really really bad i swear rotton! forget that i'll never go there again!
There's something for everyone when stunning Japanese sushi is accompanied by traditional Chinese favorites..
The Scene
Local lore has it that lunch is when the seafood is at its best. The skilled chef entertains patrons with amusing conversation as he assembles his toothsome little masterpieces. This may not be the most handsome stretch of Albany's Central Avenue, but once you're inside, the calm, simply decorated interior is enough to make you forget about the city for a while.
The Food
Added to the Japanese fare on the regular menu are familiar Chinese items. You'll find Cantonese, Hunan and Szechuan favorites alongside teriyaki, tempura and noodle soups. Whether you're vegetarian or carnivore, try the maki-sushi, a California roll variant consisting of seaweed salad, green cellophane noodles, marinated cucumber and avocado slices.
Great food Gets dull. The food is very good and the service is fairly attentive. The food tends to become boring. Their are many options but they tend to be variations of the same thing.
Rocks!!!. This is the best delivery food in Albany! The wonton soup rocks as well as the crab rangoon. I have ordered several things on the menu and it is all excellent!!!!
Tradeoff. The food is very good, but the service is *far* too slow and inattentive.
