FANTASTIC. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed this restaurant very much. The food was great. Highly recommended. Great date place, very romantic!

You get what you pay for at this casual eatery that's served delicious Italian food for more than two decades.. The Scene


With just under 60 seats, this storefront restaurant enjoys a brisk business, even though it's a little pricey. There may be plenty of Albany politicians among the regular clientele, but don't expect swanky dining. The decor is simple, primarily consisting of artfully displayed Italian servingware and strategically placed mirrors that lend depth to the dining room.



The Food


Since 1980 the Romeo family has produced excellent Italian food with nods to the patriarch's Calabrian heritage. Wonderful seafood dishes enhance the flavors of Chilean sea bass and filets of sole. The eggplant parmigiana is three layers of golden eggplant and oozing mozzarella cheese, bathed in an excellent tomato sauce. The fantastic Roman saltimbocca combines thin veal cutlets scented with sage, wrapped in paper-thin prosciutto. For dessert order a cappacino and slice of the rich tiramisu.
