The Scene – This unobtrusive downtown venue pulled off something of a coup last year when scene-defining arts magazine Metroland awarded Savannah's its Best Local Music Venue award, shutting out the bigger, busier or dirtier rooms that have historically taken the honor. Of course, those who regularly patronized Savannah's nodded their heads knowingly about the sudden acclaim, then shook those same heads ruefully about having their secret let loose on the general community. – – The Booze – Cosmopolitan, vodka martini. – – While You're There…

Great little place....
by lkotary
WOW! What an amazing transformation Savannahs has made in the past few months!!!! It's a great little place to have a cocktail that's a bit off the downtown beaten path. It doesn?t seem to attract the rowdy college crowd that most of the other Pearl Street bars are notorious for. The live music has been fantastic and the food is consistently good. Savannah's is the perfect place to bring out of town guests to get a good meal in a beautiful section of Albany while listening to great live music. It has surely earned its 5 stars.
As for the previous post.... if you want free refills, go to Applebee?s. It seems as though that would be much more your speed.
- Pros: great drink and food prices
- Cons: parking can be tough on Saturday nights
Nice atmosphere, great club, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND BOOKING
by soundchaser123
I agree with the last reviewer about the management. I played a gig here, brought in 60 people and the management loved us. Our next gig we called ahead a few days to ask a question and they acted like they did not know us and then gave us a BS excuse why they booked another band without notifying us. I hear whoever does the booking has major substance issues, so that would explain the problem.
