Wonderful Food - Great Atmosphere. My friends and I were going out to celebrate a birthday, and chose Magnolia's because it was convenient for all of us and in the Entertainment Book. It was the best experience! We each arrived separately after work, and even the first to arrive felt comfortable immediately - not always the case for a woman alone at a bar. When we were ready to eat, the bartender transformed himself into our waiter and continued the easy banter that had made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious. The cornbread muffins served before the meal arrived were outstanding. The maple-glazed salmon ('spicy on the inside and sweet on the outside' - like us!) was fabulous. At some point a wonderful singer began performing, but her music enhanced rather than intruded on our conversation. Magnolia's was a wonderful experience. I will definitely return.

Cozy atmosphere, fantastic food and GREAT music on Sundays. I would recommend Magnolia's on the Park to anyone looking for a tasty and casual Sunday brunch. My partner and I live in the neighborhood and very much enjoy spending a relaxed weekend morning dining on biscuits and gravy at this friendly neighborhood restaurant. I am very sorry that the previous reviewer found the "dirty man" to be so repulsive, but in all of the times that we have visited, we have never found the staff or the venue to be anything less than 4-star quality. Dinner is pretty good, but the brunch is what keeps us going back. Try the grits. They are wonderful!

Weird experience!. This place is bizarre! I recommend walking right on by this place. I stood outside looking at the menu board when all of a sudden this dirty man came outside and started talking to me and telling me he has the best southern cuisine in Albany. I had considered going in until this guy came outside. I thought "if his dirtiness is a reflection of what they are making and how they are conducting business inside...I am DEFINATELY not eating here!!" I walked away and went across the street to a wonderful Mexican restaurant!

Welcoming and Accommodating!. What a pleasant surprise our brunch was at Magnolia's - the owner and the barkeep were so much fun and so accommodating - the food was absolutely fabulous. We felt so welcome and unrushed. After brunch we had a wonderful round of Mimosa's and lingered over wonderful conversation. Definately a place to go back too! Thank you.
