Delicious food, Fantastic Service!!!.
We have been many times to Sukothai, and it has always been very good (their Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Spring Rolls, etc...) But tonight, I ordered Pineapple Curry Duck and it was absolutely FANTASTIC. I have to say that I have lived in the Lark Street area for several years and do enjoy dining out on a semi-regular basis. This was hands down, the best meal I have eaten on Lark Street, or in Albany, ever. Wow. Really. Fantastic meal with wonderful service, as always guys. Thank you!

Fantastic Food, Fantastic Service!.
I've been to both restaurants, but the Sukhothai Restaurant on 62 Central Ave Albany, NY 12206 (literally down the street from lark) is by far better, with a larger area, bigger selection on the menu (try the Thai Tea with pearls) and honestly the best service I could have asked for- they might not always understand english but they do their best and I've never once had a problem with anything there. Super friendly and have since returned a large number of times and introduced a large number of friends as well.
My partner is vegan and they are extremely accommodating with all the dishes, which can be changed from a meat to soy or even just veggies, since my partner is allergic to soy as well as dairy.
Great dishes to try: Musman Curry & any of their flat noodle dishes. The Samosas are simple but delicious.
Enjoy!

Great Thai food, small quiet setting, good service..
Sukhothai is a bit cramped (it's a garden level restaurant, or close to garden level) but the food is fantastic. The one thing that bothers me about this place is that they try to make it look bigger by putting mirrors on all of the walls, which becomes annoying after awhile.
The service is great and you can see a lot of what is going on because there's only a counter separating the restaurant to a part of the kitchen, which is cool. There's a lot going on but the restaurant is generally pretty quiet. It's a little retro in there and certainly not ambient, but the charm of this place is that it's a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with amazing food that is always worth the trip.

Excellent Asian Cuisine!.
Just stumbled upon this place walking along Lark St. w/my boyfriend, and we were pleasantly surprised at how great the food is, and at such a great price! The price here is about the same as your typical Asian take-out place, but it tastes like many of the higher-end Thai and Japanese restaurants in major metro areas! The ambience is comfortable and casual, without being tacky, or having a diner-esque feel to it. Service is good, and I recommend this place highly!
