Outstanding!. The best service, and best Italian place in the area. The food is great and the staff is friendly and professional. My favorite place to eat out for a special occasion.
The Best Italian Food in the Metro Albany Area!. I have about 5 favorites at D'Raymonds and they never disappoint. The Veal ala Moutarde has a blend of mustards in a cream sauce and is fantastic. The seafood pasta or Pesche Alfredo is another great dish. Make sure you make a reservation, it fills up every night of the week! Friendly bartenders at night. During the day... well... did not have a great experience the last time I was in. So, just head straight to a table because it is lunch!
Finest Italian meal anywhere in New York. We hadn't been to D'Raymonds for quite a few years as my son grew and we rarely went out for a couple's dinner. Now we make D'Raymonds a regular stop 6 or more times a year. The service is impeccable as you are fawned over through-out the meal. Each Dish is completely explained. I've dined all over the state and even in NYC, and D'Raymonds is a complete taste experience. Exquisite food that is a treat each time we go. If I can say one negative thing about the establishment, it's too small and lends to a noisy experience at times. Can't be beat!!

We waited 45 minutes for a table. Service was competent,but no one welcomed us, or bid us farewell or asked about our meal. A no-nonsense place for bargains, favors families but not the discerning diner. True Italian cooking is about flavor and fresh ingredients.
We opted to try their pasta dishes. Good chefs understand that pasta carbonara requires a deft hand. I enjoyed an authentic version in Rome and when properly made, the dish should taste smoky, enhanced by sauteed lardoons of pancetta, the sauce is made in the platter tossing fresh egg with the pasta, freshly grated parmagianno reggiano, and coarse pepper.BUT My pasta arrived swimming in cream. The ribbon noodles were not al dente, slices of prosciutto were substituted for pancetta. My wife had ordered the chicken ala Roma: slices of grilled chicken topping the same noodles, same suspicious bechamel-like white sauce, much too rich for the palate.
Numero uno1. I have never had a bad meal at D'Raymonds! Last night for the first time I ordered American (filet and lobster) and it was simly delicious! The tail was small but so was the price and it was the absolute best lobster tail I have ever tasted!
Over The Top!.
Lusch selections that are better than any served in the "old country." D'raymonds has to be one of the finest Italian culinary experiences on earth. This is the only place that can make better sauce than my Grandma Lapriorie( that is really saying something).Very down to earth,this restaurant continually turns out flawless pasta, pristine salads and amazing appetizers.

WOW! Do i miss this place! I now live in San Diego, and haven't been able to find anything even close to this good.I hope the family tradition can stay alive for ever.

Viva D'raymonds. My favorite italian restaurant, this coming from an irishman, who never cared for italian food before being introduced by friends. Innovative, vast variety, good price point, but the best is the taste. My mouth is watering just thinking about my last meal there. Whats for dinner tonight? A reservation by God.
