Looking like a pizzeria should, this restaurant cooks outstanding Italian cuisine to order..
The Scene
Small and utilitarian, the Inferno does a brisk family business. The decor is vintage pizzeria, complete with a framed photo of Sinatra. Old Blue Eyes was snapped during a Pepsi Arena concert, but Frankie Avalon posed with the crew on a real-life visit. The wait can be a tad longer than usual--dishes are made to order--but the homemade taste is well worth it.
The Food
Portions are large and the food is some of the best this side of Italy. The small antipasto could feed a small army, the spaghetti and meatballs could feed two. The Sicilian-style square pizza is light with a medium-thick crust. Insiders recommend the chicken Provençal but insist that everything here is good. Fortunately, with entree prices ranging from $6 to $16, a second mortgage isn't necessary to sample a wide variety of mouthwatering meals.
