A Secret Pearl in a Lovely Village. We went to the Turf Tavern just on a fluke the other night (no one felt like cooking). As we entered, we were cheerfully greeted. After a delicious cocktail at the bar, we sat down in the comfortable dining room where a harpist was playing! Yes, you read that right ... a harpist! It was beautiful and completely unexpected. The waitress we had was very knowledgeable about the dinner selections and even recommended a good wine to go along with our meal. Everyone's dish was superb, and the service was great. The steaks were tender and juicy, a seafood dish my friend had was scrumptous and I had a pasta dish which was especially tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great meal, a lovely atmosphere and a surprisingly low final bill ... and who doesn't want that?! We will be back again and again.
