I had an absolutely wonderful
experience at Ferri Formals and Bridals. I am from upstate New York and had looked all over including Vermont for my wedding dress. I was so disappointed that I couldn't find anything that gave me "that feeling", and felt that I was going to have to settle. I had seen dresses that I had liked in pictures but no where had anything comparable to the shape or contained elements I was looking for like Ferri's dresses did.
Walking into Ferri Formals and Bridals was like a dream. Erin was so helpful and welcoming and listened to every detail I was looking for. Erin immediately had a dress she thought I would love (which is the dress I purchased! ), and was very mindful of our budget. She went along with my mother and I and looked through all of the racks with special detail and consideration for all of the elements I desired.
I am SO thankful to Erin for being able to pinpoint my dress so well. Instead of putting me in dresses that I didn't like or that didn't match the elements I was looking for, Erin helped me select dresses with precise and specific relation to my vision. As soon as I put it on I knew it was different from anything else I had seen, and what was more, I felt different in it that any other dress I had tried on. Erin's initial dress pick for me was exactly what I had in mind, that I couldn't find anywhere else. Erin and Ferri Formals gave me an absolutely wonderful experience in finding my wedding Dress !! And I would strong recommend Ferri Formals and Bridals !
AMAZING. Greatest bridal boutique in town! Very helpful, honest and great prices. They took care of me and my wedding party like they have always known us. I would definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE. They made me feel like family every time i came in or talked to them on the phone. "One of the most difficult parts of planning a wedding is choosing a Bridal Store and making a decision on the gowns. Our choice of Ferri Formals was perfect. At our first appointment we were given many choices and options. My daughter tried on many dresses and also tried some from the sale rack. One of those turned out to be the dress she fell in love with. We were in no way pressured not to buy the dress on sale, even though it was a definite bargain. We were given the name of a seamstress to use for the alterations who was a delight to work with. The dress was absolutely gorgeous. Most of the other girls in the bridal party were from out of town. My daughter chose the style and color of the dresses and her attendants called in their measurements to the store and the gowns were ordered. The girl that lived locally had her alterations done on site and the girls from out of town were able to have their alterations done where they lived. We had many questions about the arrival of the gowns as the wedding day approached and were always contacted with the information we needed in a prompt and courteous manner. Please do not go to this place! They treat you fine as long as they want your business-as soon as you pay for your dress(es) they start the games, charging different prices for alterations, making up arrival dates, losing your list of bridesmaids...
It was a terrible experience, very stressful and very embarassing in from of my bridesmaids who were spending so much $ on their dresses!

Best Choice!!!. My experience shopping for my wedding dress at Ferri Formal’s was wonderful! The ladies are terrific – very accommodating and pleasant. Penny altered my dress and made it look as though it was created especially for me Since purchasing my dress I have referred all my friends to make Ferri’s their first stop when shopping for a dress. It was a great experience.
Happybride. My mother and I found our dream gowns at Ferri’s. The service we received was way beyond my expectations, and the whole experience of finding my wedding gown was what I’ve always dreamt of. My gown was so unique, and I still haven’t seen one that even compares to it! I’ve received so many compliments on its beauty and uniqueness. The staff was so friendly and courteous to us that it seemed like we’ve known them for years. I felt like a one-of-a-kind bride.
Bad Experience. Nice dresses, not a good experience
We’d done almost all the Capital District prom dress shops, plus the internet and even been to London and Paris,somehow overlooking the local specialist shop. By the time we got to Ferri Formal, we gave a stern –“we’re just looking” they let us look, un-hassled. I quickly realized this was the best selection we’d seen in our price bracket ($200-$800). I was impressed by the quality workmanship and sumptuous materials, beating internet and other shop’s prices. They also had the best priced sale section I'd seen. I relaxed on the chaise longue allowing my picky prom princess to scrutinize. After leaving we agreed that this was the shop.
We went back 3 or 4 times with me playing the difficult customer; each time, the staff, from Miss to Madame, were extremely nice. I saw a selection of people come and go, with no hint of discrimination from the staff on budget, age, size or race. Some were repeat satisfied customers but everyone received the same courteousness. It was obvious that the staff were experienced in catching on to the desired look and what suited. The ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ and ‘do you like that?’ were genuine, with no overbearing push to make a sale. One busy day became a boudoir fashion show, we were having a ball, with the mature customers modelling tips on presentation. It was how shopping should be. It was great experiencing the different tastes and styles, while of course everyone ended up looking happy and beautiful.
Parting with the dress through donation will be difficult- but then, Ferri Formal are bound to have something for Senior Gala!
No straight answer. Awful. A flower-girl dress for my wedding was purchased at this store. A beautiful $250 dress, which in my opinion is quite a pricey dress for a three year old...but it was so beautiful we went with it! We ordered this dress in January with an early April delivery date. Needless to say a week out from my wedding we have no dress...and no one from the store can provide a decent answer as to why there was such a delay. My bridesmaid who is the little girl's mother tried for nearly six weeks to get a straight answer as to when the dress would arrive....to no avail. When she indicated that she was nervous about the arrival and alterations because the dress was quite expensive the owner informed her that $250 was in fact not an expensive flower girl dress. 10 days before the wedding my friend was returned her deposit and we actually purchased a lovely dress for $25 and received excellent customer service...at Burlington Coat Factory! :) But my friend continues to get phone calls since the dress came in (1 week before the wedding) to see the "lovely" dress. I guess I would just advise people that the communication when a mistake is made is awful. Either you receive no phone call, have to keep following up yourself or get a different answer from different people in the store. I purchased some accessories at another bridal store in the area and when a mistake was made the owner immediately called me to let me know about the problem and to give me options. No such effort was ever made by Ferri Formals in this situation.I just do not think this is a stress any bride needs a week before their wedding, especially when the dress is purchased so far in advance.
