Misguided – In response to upon "duh" mnt4's review:
Having worked at pharmacies for a number of years, I'd like to inquire if you've ever noticed that most pharmacies have the actual pharmacy "ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK OF THE STORE!!!!!!!"? This is to protect patient confidentiality. Perhaps an inconvenience, but that's the way it has to be; the stores themselves have to comply with this regulation.
Secondly, if you're trying to get a prescription filled through comp or disability, there is NO way for them to retrieve the information without your input. That means you either have to know the information (claim number, injury date, company you're filing with, etc.), or you have to have the paperwork. Or just pay cash. There is physically no way for the pharmacists or technicians to just send your prescription claim out into the internet and the claim will magically be received and approved by your disability service. No number to call. Nothing. Even the hospital you went to may not have the information the pharmacy needs. It's YOUR medication, YOUR insurance, and YOUR responsibility to bring the appropriate information in with you. Getting angry with the staff fixes nothing and upsets everyone.
Finally, pharmacy staff feels a lot more empathy than you may think towards these situations. They deal with insurance problems all day every day, that impedes patients from being covered for medications they need. This is an INSURANCE issue, not the pharmacy. Let me stress this again; if there is not enough insurance information, or no information, or the insurance just doesn't want to pay for a medication, there is NOTHING the pharmacy can do except maybe call your doctor and try to get a different, cheaper drug approved.
I'm sorry you were in pain and uncomfortable, but I'm speaking for pharmacies everywhere that you were probably not that pleasant to deal with anyway, judging from your blind-sighted review (can we talk about lack of empathy, here?), but I guarantee that they still did what they could. Next time there is an issue in ANY retail establishment, I beg you to consider that the world is not out to get you, that sometimes there are things outside of anyone's control, and that perhaps the people working there are actually people too. Thank you.

NO EMPATHY HERE!! – Don't expect any empathy from anyone in pharmacy, no matter how much pain or discomfort you maybe in. OH NO, if you've forgotten or left something in your vehicle that's needed to file a comp or disability claim, you might as well forget about not having to go get it. You better just GET over it or something and go get it irregardless of how much more uncomfortable it may make you. And to top it off guess where the pharmacy is located? Yup, ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK OF THE STORE!!!!! If insurance companies gave more of a choice in pharmacies I'd DEFINATELY be choosing to LEAVE this one!!
