Excellent Service & Food, Good 4 Kids
by www_ninecaroline_com at Citysearch
One of my family of 5's favorite Saratoga Restaurants. Gracious, very friendly and SPEEDY service. The sushi is average but acceptable, Thai dishes we've tried are excellent. Try the Massaman curry with sticky rice (Amazing!) also a really great coconut chicken soup with mushrooms. My kids love the chicken sate and fried dumplings.
- Pros: FAST and very gracious service, unusual excellent dishes.
- Cons: extremely busy during peak hours
Not for sushi

Now granted I just moved up from NYC so my opinion may be off a bit. But with that said the sushi was (the nigri) was small, quality was average and price was way too high. Now they do have the downtown area to them selves so monopoly pricing is in effect, but I went by myself the other night had one beer, edamame, 5 pieces and two rolls (non specialty) and my bill was $40. For that price I can get great sushi in the city.
The upside is it is a nice place and the service was great. The thai food (that I have had) was good. So my recommendation is go there for Thai, but skip the sushi.
- Pros: Thai is good and service is great.
- Cons: Sushi, portions, quality (for the price) and price
Can't beat the Food!!!

I am a regular and dine there at least once a week. The sushi is exceptional. I have had sushi in NYC, MIA, HOU, LA, yet none compare. The service is outstanding; prompt, courteous, and detailed. The menu is very diverse and accomodating to all. Parking is an issue, especially in the summer, but it's Saratoga, so the walk is nice. It can get pricey if you like to ry many things (as I do), but it is well worth it.
- Pros: Food, Service, Fun factor
- Cons: parking
Not the best.....but cheap.

Although the food is reasonably priced for what it is, the thai dishes could use a bit more imagination and spice. The sushi is a big let down and is bland and chewy (tastes like the sushi at price chopper) - the menu is also missing many of the sushi / sashimi regular dishes that you see at any good sushi restuarant. Thai Garden's biggest redeeming feature is its location in downtown saratoga springs and the reasonable prices.
- Pros: Cheap, Location
- Cons: Bland, Chewy, No imagination

We have been to the Sushi Thai Garden sevral times now and we rave about it to everyone. Great Sushi, Salads, Spicy Thai dishes and sake ;-). The staff is friendly there are a ton of choices on the menu (complete with a coding system for levels of spicyness). At first glance, the atmoshphere is a little like what you would see in a Chineese buffet place, but once you are seated and settle in, the place can be quite cozy. One tip - if you go spicy - keep those beverages full!
- Pros: Sushi, Sushi, Sushi, Great spicy dishes, Easy to follow menu
- Cons: None
