Bomber's is a pretty chill place with a good atmosphere and ginormously-hugetastic burritos. Not the fanciest place, but heck, if you want fancy, go to some place with a hard-to-pronounce french name. If you want to eat Mexican-ish food with your friends, go to Bombers.

Simply stated: unless you're wearing a suit, you have to go here. The food is absolutely incredible. Mind you, it's not really Mexican food in the traditional sense, but after you taste it you won't care. The burritos are HUGE (but prepare to get a little messy), reasonably priced, and you can choose between speed (downstairs) or ambiance (upstairs). Getting a table on weekend nights and on trivia nights can be very difficult, and they don't take reservations, but the wait for a table can be easily mitigated by a few good drinks at the bar. I love this place, and unless you can't deal with a young crowd I don't know why you wouldn't.
Pros: Great value, great food, great drinks, great atmosphere
Cons: Can get VERY busy

I would say Bombers is more hype than quality. The burritos are sub-par at best, except for the BBQ Tofu, and thats mostly just because I like BBQ Tofu. There are better places to get a burrito... The service is usually pretty poor and drinks are a little pricier than average. The food leaves me thinking "Where is the Love!?"

Bombers is probably the worst place in all of Albany to get a burrito (or any food, for that matter). The burritos are tasteless and always fall apart - you are lucky if the meat is warm even if you eat in! The Nachos are disgusting and I think they put brown sugar in the meat? The birthday margarita (as others have said) is based upon whether or not the staff is in the mood to serve you one. Which is another thing, the staff is rude and inattentive. Overall, a fun place to hang out if you are drinking cheap beer late at night - but stay away from the food (because it's gross) and drinks (because they are expensive). If you want a good burrito or any other taco/nacho/mexican type food go to Moe's! Much better!
Pros: $1 Utica Clubs... that's about it.
Cons: Overpriced drinks, awful food, rude staff.

Although they advertise a "free giant birthday margarita", be wary of this. On the night of my birthday (a Saturday) at midnight I ordered one only to be refused on several grounds: 1) they'd made too many already 2) it costs a lot to make one (what??) 3) it wasn't my "actual" birthday that day so it was against the rules because some people try to come twice. Offering to write my name down so I couldn't come back tomorrow didn't fly with them either. As if I would come back again with a group of friends to go bar-hopping on a Sunday night anyway. Ridiculous. I'd had friends order the margarita under the same circumstances before. AND we'd all ordered a round of drinks and they were (as others have pointed out) overpriced. $9 or $10. The food - everybody raves about the burritos, but I found them lackluster and way too huge. The sweet potato fries are good, but that's about it. All in all, doesn't live up to the hype.
Pros: Sweet potato fries
Cons: Burritos, service

This review is strictly about the food-- we've only ordered take out so I can't speak for the atmosphere, drinks, etc. When we first moved to Albany about 4 months ago, we heard rave reviews about Bombers. Our first night in Albany we got burritos to go, and they were horrible. They were cold and soggy and my boyfriend and I could not finish them. We hadn't returned until recently, when we decided to give it a second shot. He ordered the vegetarian burrito and I ordered the loaded nachos. His burrito was once again TERRIBLE (same problem, cold and soggy, fell apart right away, no flavor), and my nachos were equally bad (cheese was not melted, chili was awful, we could've made the same thing at home for a lot cheaper and it would've tasted better). Neither of us finished our dinner. Being a burrito lover, I really expected a lot more for a place that receives such great reviews. We were very disappointed. I would not recommend Bombers.
Cons: Cold, soggy burritos and lousy service.

Not only is their food good, but they have Strongbow on tap... Something that is hard to get around this area...
Pros: Strongbow, Fun environment
Cons: kind of small

Food is decent and not that expensive (not as cheap as everyone raves about). Portions are not impressive for the price, either. Service is non-existant, the downstairs (non-bar area) took quite a while to be served. Upstairs (the bar area) almost necessitated sending a search team to locate the food ordered about an hour ago. Subsequently, I ate a cold burrito and dried up fries. Bumbers. HOWEVER, don't order anything from the bar but a special. The menus missing prices on most drinks (oddly enough) and you may need an oral surgeon to reconnect your jaw when the bill comes and you and a few of your friends owe a Burrito Bar around $90 for three quesedillas, two orders of fries, and 7 drinks between you. Our own fault, but about $9.00 for a drink is a bit out of line (especially when it's 70% ice). Don't believe the hype.
Pros: Food is decent
Cons: Horrible Service, Gets expensive fast, Crowded

Everyone's only talking about Bomber's burritos (which are awesome), but what about the fact that they have 20 beers on tap in a cool lounge/bar atmosphere with .25 cent wings on Monday nights.....something to think about.

Simply the best Burritos around. They're huge, great tasting and cheep. Get a margarita on the side, they're huge too!
Pros: Huge Burritos, Cheep Prices, Good Location
