The Blue Ribbon is the best in schenectady

the woman underneath must be a fired waitress mad or something "BIG LIAR THOuGH" BUT THE BLUE RIBBON has faithfull costumers that have been there for years, and i am one of them i love the fresh fried clams that are breaded there everything is always great love the service and seeing the same people all the time.... and if your hostess was rude its the owners wife.. and you probably were rude to them they dont take disrespect from cheap people trying to get free food! theyve had the same staff for over 20 years!!

Terrible!!

The food stinks at this dim lit, dirty plaace. Maybe if you lower the lights they can't see the crud? Gross. My silverware was spattered with old food, lipstick on my coffee cup and to top it off, the hostess had an attitude. Reality Check..Blue Ribbon. NOT!

They are quick (which is always a plus when you're hungry) & friendly. They have great food and fantastic Cheesecake!

No Class!

Miserable experience (other than the waitress, she was lovely). Food was horrible, especially the french toast. The shredded home fries were burned, and the coffee bitter. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse , the blonde hostess decided it was time to be rude. No class, I won't be returning...pass it on!

Daily specials and amazing cheesecake take the prize at this down-to-earth diner.

Blue Ribbon Diner's waitresses may seem overworked, but many of the staff have been here for 20 years or more. What sets this diner apart from the competition is the food made from scratch. Stick with the specials list; you can get a complete dinner like the pot roast or spaghetti with sauteed vegetables for less than 10 dollars. Like so many diners, this one sports a display case full of desserts near the entrance.

Blue Ribbon Diner

Great. Instead of choosing one of the many corporate franchises such as Applebee's, etc., go for a lesser-known place like the traditional favorite, the Blue Ribbon Diner. Great food, great prices, great service.

• Pros: Good for kids., Great food., Rarely crowded.
• Cons: None, really.

Great Diner

I recommend the Disco Fries or the Happy Waitress (okay, I just like the names). Seriously, though, this is the place to go for giant desserts, or breakfast anytime. Huge menu with good food.

The Blue Ribbon is consistently good. It is a local icon. It is, in my opinion, the best Schenectady has to offer for variety and value!
